It was perfect on the thread gauge and in two M3000 receivers and Stoeger did not change anything. Something is amiss for sure, but it is not the Carbon Arms tube. T-roy 120. It's a better made gun than the stoeger, you will be happy with the M2. I have shot a M1 for 15 years or so with only 2 benelli clicks and zero ftf other fte. Was crow hunting with a friend last Saturday shooting some type of stoeger inertia gun and he had it jam at least 7 or 8 times.

Has anyone opened up the loading port on the Stoeger M3K 3Gun (NOT the M3000) I just got one (love it btw) and was going to open the loading port up even more, but need a bit of advice before I break out the files and Dremel. There is a pin (the pivot point for the bolt release I believe) that sits vertically next to the loading port (see pics).

Im from Australia and have just picked up a Stoeger M3K shotgun. Ours are a straight pull design ie: basically a pump action using the bolt knob. I've noticed the semi auto versions I've seen in youtube video's have a light bolt racking pull on them, ours are reasonably heavy.

You could start with a Weaver 93A (M3000/3500 uses the same base/hole spacing as the Benelli M2 and SBE) then cut off the extra length from the base. EGW markets a Picatinny base for these guns too. Those extra screws that anchor the base to the receiver add a good portion of extra security to the set up.

I don't think I have seen anyone claim the Stoeger is better than a Benelli. If the price were in the same ballpark, I would probably buy an M2. The Turkish guns are definitely not in the same league in fit and finish. Or price. No one (at least not I), is trying to talk you into selling your Benelli to buy a Stoeger.
